Police launch urgent appeal for help finding "animal" who brutally raped 2-year-old girl

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office in Florida has launched an urgent public appeal in the hunt for Roberto Lopez, the man wanted for raping a two-year-old girl.

According to reports, the toddler is fighting for her life, but 40-year-old Lopez’s whereabouts are unknown.

“We need your help in locating this animal,” a police department spokesman said.

The spokesman continued: “He is wanted by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office for the brutal rape of a two year old girl.

“This innocent little girl is in critical condition from the rape.”If you know his location or have any information of his possible location, please call the Hendry County Sheriff’s office.

“This guy is pure evil and does not need to be on our streets. Also, please share this so we can reach as many people as we can.”

Lopez is wanted on a charge of sexual battery on a victim under 12. Deputies have not said how he came into contact with the girl.

The 40-year-old is known to hang around local bars and is usually picked up for work at Camp Rojo,
